چکیده
The present study was aimed to detect the accumulative effect of polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon (PAHs) in Arabibarbus grypus collecting along Tigris River Southern Baghdad City. A total 130 specimens were taken from three sites Al-Zafaranyia City period between Summer 2020 until Spring 2021.Results statistical analysis for PAHs at S3 showed a significant increase (P ≤ 0.05) compared S1 and S2 all seasons. Results revealed that concentrations both muscles gills A.grypus 57.79, 86.50, 76.90 58.20 µg /g during summer, autumn, winter spring respectively S1, while 83.60, 121.18, 166.90 119.90 respectively, as well concentration 139.08, 140.40, 192.70 158.80 respectively. The highest values recorded collection sample either water or fish, lowest summer. It can be concluded higher fish muscle which could due its richness human activities (e.g. industrial, agriculture, urban),have accumulated sediments high S2.

Biodegradation of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) in Petroleum Contaminated Soils
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are a class of potentially hazardous chemicals of environmental and health concern. PAHs are one of the most prevalent groups of contaminants found in soil. Biodegradation of complex hydrocarbon usually requires the cooperation of more than single specie. In this research biotreatment of PAH (phenanthrene) was studied in a solid-phase reactor using indigenou...
متن کاملSource apportionment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in surface sediments of the Huangpu River, Shanghai, China.
We applied cluster analysis and principal component analysis (PCA) with multivariate linear regression (MLR) to apportion sources of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in surface sediments of the Huangpu River in Shanghai, China, based on the measured PAH concentrations of 32 samples collected at eight sites in four seasons in 2006. The results indicate that petrogenic and pyrogenic source...
متن کاملPolycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) traceability in old buffalos living in south west part of Iran
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are a class of complex substances that are produced during incomplete combustion of fossil fuels. PAHs are known to be persistent pollutants which can remain in nature for years. In 1991 during the first Persian Gulf War south west part of Iran was contaminated heavily. This study was undertaken to see if the PAHs can be traceable in animal tissues many...
متن کاملPolycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in livers of California sea otters.
Concentrations of 16 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were measured in livers of 81 adult female sea otters collected along the California coast in 1992-2002. Concentrations of summation operatorPAHs in livers of sea otters were in the range of 588-17400ng/g lipid wt (mean: 3880ng/g, lipid wt). On a wet weight basis, the concentrations ranged from 17 to 1430ng/g (mean: 146ng/g). Overall,...
متن کاملSeasonal variation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) emissions in China.
A regression model based on the provincial energy consumption data was developed to calculate the monthly proportions of residential energy consumption compared to the total year volume. This model was also validated by comparing with some survey and statistical data. With this model, a PAHs emission inventory with seasonal variation was developed. The seasonal variations of different sources i...
